Structural Geology for Petroleum Exploration, Drilling & Production

4 Day Field-Based Course in Southwest England

Wednesday 4th - Saturday 7th September 2013

The Course
Lectures will be held at the Avon Gorge Hotel, Bristol and integrated with nearby field trips to the Bristol and English Channel coasts. The Course links type section outcrop structures to nearby seismic and global events and to quantified stress analysis.

Who Should Attend
Geologists, geophysicists, drilling and reservoir engineers. 4D structural and stress history will be demonstrated for such applications as fault seal, multi-directional and inclined wells and frac planning.

Previous Courses
Since 1983 this course has been attended by hundreds of people from dozens of companies, worldwide. The annually evolving course has been the cornerstone of improvements in structural interpretation of reflection seismic resulting in numerous quantified, pre-drill stress applications over the exploration and production businesses.
